You can use the Quick Launch Bar in Windows to quickly access frequently accessed Applications such as email, internet browser, desktop etc by following the steps outlined below:
  • Right-click on the area next to the Start button.

  • Select Properties. Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window appears.

  • Select Show Quick Launch checkbox. Uncheck Lock the taskbar checkbox and click <OK>.

  • You can notice the Quick Launch Bar next to the Start menu with some standard items displayed.

  • Drag and drop any Application you need from the Desktop to the Quick Launch region.
