By default the Windows taskbar is docked on the bottom portion of the Desktop. You can move it either to the left, top, or right regions by following the steps below.

  • Click the region next to the Start button.

  • Drag the taskbar to the position desired and leave it. In this example, the taskbar is dragged and docked to the left.

  • To bring it back to the original position, click on the handle area (as shown by the cursor) and drag it.
