Web - Sharepoint 2007

The hyperlinks displayed in the Quick Launch region can be modified or new links added. Creating new tabs is also easy with just a few clicks. This article outlines the above:

  • Select Site Actions > Site Settings
  • Select Quick Launch under Look and feel region. You can use this page to change the links, add new links in the Quick Launch

 

Adding a New Link

 

  • Click 'New Link' to add a new link
    • Enter the URL of the web address
    • Enter a description
    • Select the appropriate heading under which the link is to be displayed
    • Click 'OK' to complete

 

Modifying an Existing Link

 

  • Click the 'Edit' icon next to the link that you wish to change
  • Enter the new link, description, or heading as required
  • Click 'OK' to complete

 

Adding a New Tab

 

  • Select Site Actions > Site Settings
  • Select 'Top link bar' in the Look and feel region
  • Click 'New Link'
    • Enter the web address
    • Enter the Descriptin
    • Click OK to complete
