Evolution is an email client for Linux and is available on most of the common Linux Distributions.

Configuring Evolution
- Open Evolution email client. The Evolution setup assistant will guide you through the setup process.
- Enter your Full Name and Email Address associated with the email account. Click the <Forward> button.
- Select Server Type such as POP, IMAP etc. Check with your ISP if you are not sure. Most ISPs provide POP for downloading emails from their servers.
- Enter incoming mail server name in the Host field. Enter Username that is associated with this email account. Click <Forward> button.
- Define Receiving Options as required and click the <Forward> button.
- Select Server Type such as SMTP or Sendmail. If you are not sure, check with your ISP.
- Enter outgoing mailserver name in the Host field. Click the <Forward> button.
- Enter a description for the account. This helps to identify if you have setup multiple email accounts. Click <Forward>.
- Select the Timezone and click <Forward>.
- Click the <Apply> button to complete.
